Event Horizon Dance is an explosive dance company, composed of vibrant independent dancers. We bring together modern dance and break dance, mixing a wide variety of rhythmic movements and styles. The director, Miranda Abbott, is an accomplished performer who incorporates philosophy, theatre and mathematics into her work. Her company name is inspired by her love of science; she relates her choreographic goals to Einstein’s theory of gravity and black holes. She is known for her energetic choreography and her work within schools and community groups. Through dance, Miranda hopes to open the hearts of her audiences and inspire many through her particularly funky style.
